Carrying kid bikes on an ALTA Rack is a great way to get the family out. We believe in “No Toy Left Behind”! Especially bikes. GROM baskets have made that possible. However, sometimes the smaller bikes can be too short to reach the low bar or the over all setup requires the top bar to be mounted to the higher position to create better clearance. In some of these instances, the small bike might struggle to reach the low bar.
As you can see in the picture the little guy is struggling to reach the low bar by a lot. This customer came up with an ingenious way of utilizing the ALTA E bike strap to create tension in the bike setup. They are also using the gusset on this ALTA Superior 45ER to strap the rear wheel of the 20 inch bike to the rack.
This is great but what if you don’t have a Superior rack with the gusset? then the ALTA table can be utilized for something similar, when in stow mode the table can be used as a strapping interface for smaller bikes and kid bikes.
