Units come with 3/8 bolt interface. Simply remove the circle tie down points from the top bar, and bolt on the retractable straps.

    Didn’t think I would need these but decided to purchase out of an abundance of caution. Again, in combination with how well designed and sturdy the rack itself is, these straps provide a little extra confidence knowing that this rack ain’t going nowhere, regardless of what conditions may be out on the road (or off road)!

    Functional. I’m looking for a better way to connect them to my Honda Pilot roof rack. The hooks will damage the roof rack, and they’re not quite long enough to loop around and hook onto themselves. A loop of para cord would work, but then that will flap in the wind when I’m not using the straps. Definitely a first world problem.

      We use the paracord and have not had it flap in the wind or atleast have not noticed. You can go with a heavier soft strap for more weight as well. You can also run paracord thru the side of the rear hatch connected to tie points inside.
